Since 1721, when Isaac Mansfield built his house on Mechanic Street…then known as Brimblecomb Hill…it has been home to a cooper, a cordwainer, a minister, a wigmaker, an ice cream maker, and a friend of Benjamin Franklin, to name but a few. Now you too can enjoy the charm of this lovingly restored antique home which was featured in both “Better Homes and Gardens” and “Colonial Homes.”
Brimblecomb Hill offers you three clean, comfortable first floor guest rooms with private or shared baths. Two of our rooms have their own private entrances. A continental breakfast is offered in our fireplaced sitting room. In summer, you might prefer your coffee in our garden.
Your hosts will always be happy to answer your questions, help you make special arrangements, or share with you our fondness for Old Marblehead.
