Robert Allison, Professor of History at Suffolk University and chair of Revolution 250, will discuss how the Intolerable Acts spurred Massachusetts toward a revolution in this talk at the Marblehead Museum. Following the Boston Tea Party, Parliament cracked down on Massachusetts. Find out how the Intolerable Acts made otherwise loyal subjects into rebels by taking power to choose local officials away from the people of the towns and suspending the Massachusetts charter. This lecture is available in person or via Zoom. It is sponsored by the Marblehead Museum and the Revolution 250 Marblehead Committee.
