Octoberfest is a major fundraiser for the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Making Ends Meet.
Making Ends Meet "Neighbors Helping Neighbors"
Making Ends Meet (MEM) was founded over 17 years ago by a group of Marbleheaders to help the local people in need. MEM provides financial assistance to Marblehead families who are experiencing extreme financial difficulties. MEM awards individuals and families one-time grants, typically to pay overdue bills for rent, mortgage, utilities and/or medical expenses. Our mission is to help those faced with an unexpected crisis maintain stability. Last year, thanks to generous community support, MEM was able to grant $30,000 to Marblehead families. MEM relies exclusively on donations from businesses and individuals in Marblehead.
