WHAT: Ethical Recycling Event at the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce
WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, February 11 & 12, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., both days, RAIN OR SNOW OR SHINE!
WHERE: Parking Lot Outside Marblehead Chamber of Commerce (Masonic Lodge), 62 Pleasant Street, Marblehead, MA 01945
WHO: All are welcome (you do not need to be a Marblehead resident)!
PLEASE DO BRING: Televisions, Computers, Monitors, Phones, Laptops, Keyboards, Drives, Cables, Cords, Peripherals, E-Readers like Kindle and Nook, Copiers, Printers, Fax Machines, Scanners, Laptops, Stereo Equipment, Speakers, CD & DVD Players, iPods, iPads, MP3 players, Remotes, VCR's, Projectors, Still and Video Cameras (film and digital), PDAs, Radios and Radio Equipment, Answering Machines, Camcorders, Electric Typewriters, Game Systems, Games, Pagers, Fans, Vacuums, Humidifiers, Dehumidifiers, Air Conditioners, Microwave Ovens, Toasters, Blenders, Small “dorm-room style” Refrigerators, Power Tools, Ink Cartridges, Toner Cartridges, USB Media, CDs, DVDs, and Magnetic Media like Zip Disks, Video Tapes, Audio Tapes, and Floppy Diskettes.
Cell phones will be accepted at no charge. Filing cabinets and office furniture are okay, too.
PLEASE DON’T BRING: Fluorescent Bulbs, Washers, Dryers, Large Appliances, or hazardous materials of any kind.
COST: $1 per pound of electronics, payable by cash or check. Net proceeds benefit Marblehead Chamber of Commerce.
REWARD: Attendees will receive 5% of their Ethical Recycling Fee back in the form of Marblehead Money Gift Checks.
GIVEAWAY: Everyone who recycles over 20 pounds of electronics in conjunction with this event will be entered into a drawing to win a brand-new Apple iPad2, courtesy of The Digital Docs & My Print And Copy.
SPECIAL TREAT: Those recycling their materials at the event will be treated to free coffee and donuts.
HEAVY ITEMS: Got an old TV or copier or other heavy item that’s too difficult to bring to the event? Call us and we may be able to pick it up!
